"This restaurant is a hidden gem, is outstanding and great value for money! The dinner was quite a culinary experience with fresh produce and amazing flavours out together spontaneously at our request by the chef. We asked the chef to surprise us with a gastronomical journey and we were delighted with the result. Our food journey included the finest and freshest produce from the region and the warmth of local service in Navarette. We would highly recommend this as a place to eat for any tourist or pilgrim. The chef and the service team were exceptional! Thank you again for such a wonderful evening."

"I knew the dinner was going to be amazing, when the host welcomed me with a huge smile and said “I’ve been waiting for you!” The restaurant was run by a husband/wife and he had just opened up an Albergue. It was further underlined when, because we were the first guests, he gave me his phone to choose the evening’s music. After a classic Motown playlist was chosen, we were suggested a fabulous bottle of local white wine and a bespoke menu was created to address a few of our dietary restrictions. We ended up having an incredible ham and shrimp omelette, grilled octopus and lamb shoulder. The owners were both lovely, welcoming people and the wife was an incredible chef. What a wonderful way to end a long walking day and a Mothers Day. Thank you so much!"

"I was lucky to eat delicious food at a restaurant I happened to stop by after the pilgrimage. Kindness is basic. But as soon as I paid, my credit card didn't work. She was embarrassed, but the female lead happily told her to leave the money in the restaurant door tomorrow morning. I met Camino's angel here. Her food is love"

"As a solo woman traveler, it is difficult to feel comfortable dining out. The chef/owner of this husband and wife team are not only incredibly talented and creative in the kitchen, they also went out of their way to make me feel welcome and comfortable. The food was sublime; the chef knows how to balance flavors and create visually artistic dishes. And the dessert…it was beyond delicious! If you are walking the Camino de Santiago, make sure to have tapas or a meal at Sala!"

"We‘re glad we pass here Sala Restaurant. Food was amazing, Chefs ( both owners) are very kind. We are pilgrims arrived late afternoon we‘re hungry and tired we asked if we can stay until they‘ll open. "We were early and the only ones in the restaurant. It was like we had a private cook. I wanted to have a soup, the hostess suggested a fish soup, she made it freshly on the spot. We ordered croquetas de xtipirones, pan tomate con jamón iberico, ensalade de tomate y lascas de bonito, Alcachofa crujiente, pluma y para terminar queso con música, with a bottle of Rioja of course. All very delicious!! And super friendly service."
